Notary Public
Notary Public is a legal position that allows us to offer a variety of services related to certifying, witnessing, and legalizing different types of documents to ensure their legal validity, both within Sweden and internationally. We assist with witnessing signatures, certifying the accuracy of copies of documents, and issuing apostilles for documents to be used abroad.
Do not hesitate to contact us to book an appointment or to obtain more information about our Notary Public services. In most cases, we are able to offer same-day appointments.
Responsibility and Accuracy
It is important to note that you are responsible for ensuring that the content of the documents presented to the Notary Public meets the requirements for their intended use. The Notary Public does not verify the content of the documents but solely certifies that the signature or copy is genuine. Therefore, it is essential that you ensure that the documents are complete and contain all necessary information for their intended purpose.
Choice of stamps and certifications
Additionally, it is your responsibility to determine which type of stamp or certification is required for the documents. While we can provide guidance on the most common types of certifications, it remains your responsibility to confirm exactly what is needed for the specific document or intended use.
Our services include, among other things:
Witnessing of signatures
We witness that a signature on a document is genuine and made by the correct individual.
Certification of copies
We certify that a copy of an original document is accurate and corresponds with the original.
Issuance of apostilles
For documents intended for use abroad, we can issue an apostille, which is an international certification of a document’s authenticity in accordance with the Hague Convention.
